Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is proudly made in the United States. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and each turf strand is crafted in Shaw’s U.S. factories. Our modern production lines feature automation, Lean/Six Sigma oversight, and internal testing labs to meet industry-leading standards. When you arrange an artificial turf installation with Southwest Greens, you can rest assured that you’re investing in high-quality, made-in-USA turf.
American Manufacturing: We manufacture through Shaw’s facilities, including our Dalton, GA plant. Shaw’s technology investments ensure fiber uniformity and premium quality.
Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, we oversee production from start to finish. That allows us to provide steady color and pile consistency, quick turnaround for service requests, and transparent production data for troubleshooting.
Rigorously Tested: Before any turf is delivered, it’s verified by Shaw’s laboratory and field evaluations. We use a 13,000 sq. ft. sports science lab and over 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test plots to replicate long-term wear. Each fiber undergoes tests for UV stability, resilience, and ball/athlete behavior, so your lawn or putting green looks and performs like real grass without wilting or fading.
CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION
We regularly enhance our turf to be better-performing and long-lasting. Some of our latest developments include:
Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: Our Bolt fiber has a patented lightning-bolt cross-section. It resists flattening and recovers quickly, out-performing wear standards by over 2x. Its special cross-section diffuses light to minimize glare, giving the yard a true-grass sheen.
HydroChill® Cooling: We offer HydroChill® infill beads that can cool your turf by 30–50°F. This passive cooling system is perfect for warm-weather lawns and putting greens, keeping temperatures pleasant for outdoor comfort.
Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are built to drain water and pet waste efficiently. Pets can play without ruining your yard. And how our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste makes dead spots and odors a thing of the past.
Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to have unique graphics or colors? Our Creaturf™ program lets you personalize turf with logos, patterns, or custom colors. From branded backyard putting greens to eye-catching pet turf, this option gives designers more creative freedom than ever before.
TAILORED TO YOU
We listen closely to customers, golf pros, and designers to ensure our artificial turf meets real needs. Feedback from golfers inspired us to develop a realistic “spring green” color that blends seamlessly with fairways. Little details like this have made our products the top choice by Huntsville pro players, homeowners, and landscape architects alike.
We also create specialized systems tailored to any environment — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.
We take fake grass installation seriously. Installation requires skill and artistry. Our synthetic turf replicates real course playability. That’s why legendary golfers like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam trust Southwest Greens. And because Southwest Greens is backed by Shaw’s full portfolio, we can adjust fibers, infill, or pile height to your specs.
LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND
We never stop innovating at Southwest Greens. Big advancements are coming in 2026! Shaw Sports Turf has already announced that fans will help to decide new field designs and that a patented “Game ON” synthetic turf (made in Calhoun, GA) will hit the market in 2026.
This playful spirit and technology will make their way to landscaping products soon. We can’t spill all the details yet, but you can be confident, our R&D team is hard at work on the next generation of artificial grass.
Upcoming releases will blend innovation and customer insight, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
